The goal of our program is to enhance the lives and experiences of both our residents and their families. We strive to accomplish this goal by following the principles of "person-centered care." Our employees aim to see the person with Alzheimer's disease or dementia as an individual, rather than focusing on abilities they may have lost. Instead of treating the person as a collection of symptoms and behaviors to be controlled, person-centered care takes into account each individual's unique qualities, abilities, interests, preferences and needs. Our residents live as independently as possible within a safe, comfortable, alarmed environment that truly becomes home to them.
Cascade Park Gardens' Secure Memory Care is staffed by a Team of compassionate individuals who have been trained to care for individuals suffering from Alzheimer's disease and related dementia. Since Alzheimer's disease and dementia effects each individual differently, our staff's primary objective is to help our residents maintain functioning, while supporting positive experiences that contribute to dignity and an increased quality of life. Our Healthcare Team will develop and implement an individually tailored plan of care addressing the specific needs of each resident. In addition, our therapeutic activities and recreational programs will promote maximum independence while offering guidance and support to provide for daily successes.
