Peoples Retirement Community opened its doors in 1988. The idea of Pastor Owen Shackett (of Peoples Church, now called Champion Center, located adjacent to Peoples\u2019 property) and his wife Betty saw a need for retirement living in this community. Originally designed for independent living, the need for assisted living quickly became apparent and began slowly admitting residents requiring assistance. A few years later resulted in the first floor, east wing being remodeled to accommodate memory care.<\/p>

Pastor Owen Shackett and his wife Betty became Peoples Retirement Community\u2019s first residents and Betty continues to live here to this day.<\/p>

In June of 2023 Chad and Melanie Solvie, owners of Cascade Senior Living Services \u00a0acquired Peoples Senior Living to continue the service that Pastor Shackett started so many years ago.
