With a background in engineering and construction management, Donald Hansen retired at 56 to care for his aging father. However, he couldn’t find any suitable care services for him. At 60, Don came up with the idea of a new affordable Senior Living community that provides comprehensive care. He founded Cascade Park Communities in 1995 and designed Cascade Park Gardens. His success led him to renovate the Doric Motor Hotel in 1998, now Cascade Park Vista. In 2002 Adult Day Health opened. Don was no absentee owner, listening and spending time with the residents. Don turned over the ownership to Chad Solvie in 2021. Cascade Park Communities still provides quality care and Don is still active by creating an art installation for the community to enjoy.
